Look What Daddy is Bringing Home Tonight

There were 4 abandoned kittens left at Jerry's work.

No one wants them...does that include us?!?

He sent this picture to my cell...knowing I'd fall in love.

The girls have said the funniest things since learning of this news.

I told them that daddy would be bringing home four kittens this evening and that they would be very scared. That we would need to use gentle hands and quiet voices when we met them because they had lost their mommy.

The questions started:

Jade-Where did the mommy go?

M-I'm not sure.

Jade-Maybe she's at work. No. Maybe she's hiding.

(My thoughts exactly Jade...4 babies wanting to nurse...I'd be out of there too.)

Then I told them that there are 3 black ones and 1 orange one.

Lily-Orange? I didn't know they made them in orange. I want a pink one!

So, needless to say I've got two very excited girls on my hand.

We just called daddy, who should be in route, and he didn't answer. I'm envisioning kittens crawling all over him in his truck. This should be a fun evening.

Anybody want a kitten?

Ummmm.... Yuck! As you know, I'm SO not a fan of cats! First the birthday cones, and now the cats! Are you OK down there in Tx? Do I need to come check on you? I'm getting worried...

They are sooo cute! If I wasn't allergic...
I've been wanting a cat ever since our neighbor saw a snake in her yard, but my eyes and nose are telling me NO :(
It's so sweet of you guys to rescue them.

They are so cute! I am sooo allergic, though. So, we won't be taking any kittens off your hands. Have a good time!!

Kittens are cute, but then they grow up into naughty cats! In my adult lifetime I've fallen for 7 lost kittens. I have ONE cat. She is the only one that hasn't "Earned" her way out of our family, although she nearly did last fall when she brought in that bunny and hid it in a closet. I don't want to even go into when I found it. (All the other cats now live on farms, where they can hunt and kill all they want!)
If I were going to give you advice it would be: Get them fixed~ and keep them INSIDE. once your cat gets a taste of outside it'll hunt and bring you "presents".

I just found your blog via your comment at With One Step. :)

My girls would love a pink kitten too! Unfortunately they're allergic to cats. Hope you find homes for them soon!

I just found your blog from a comment you left on Love, Laughter, and Lyrics -- it caught my eye b/c you mentioned your daughter Lily and I also have a Lily! I've actually seen you around some of the other blogs I frequent so I'm glad I finally visited!

(My) Lily looooves cats. It was the second word she learned to say :)

Aww, they are so cute! I love that idea, pink! I would have wanted a pink one too. My husband did something similar in February, he called and asked if he could bring home a puppy (we already had two dogs) and I said "to keep?" duh! So cute! Some advice, if you do keep two of them and you live close to a Petsmart, consider getting them on the wellness plan, it's SOOO much cheaper than paying for vet office visits EVERY month for their shots! Plus it includes the neuter/spay surgery, but it's broken down over several months. Happy SIST Saturday! Oh, and I saw you're in Texas, I'm in San Antonio!
