At least no appendages were lost

The below pictures are evidence that 4 adults were downstairs enjoying quiet conversation while their preschoolers "played quietly" upstairs.

I'm thankful that they came down to show off their decorating abilities. At first my eyes were drawn to all the hairbows...

But then I noticed the arms...and legs (no picture)...oh my.

I think the weird look on Lily's face might be from the loss of circulation.

What happened to the days of kids playing with toys...in the playroom...which happens to have shelves upon shelves loaded with them?

At least I remembered to hide the scissors.

at least it wasn't make up.

when can i schedule my appointment with her? i think that would be a nice look for me. and maybe my smile would be almost as big.

So stinkin' cute! Hilarious!

When my youngest was left alone with her friend, she came out with one of her pig tails half gone! Not to mention that every stuffed animal in her friend's room got a good haircut as well. good times.

yes, goodness ... hide the scissors!

I LOVE that picture. You will love having that for them when they are older. So, so cute and funny!

That smile is priceless! This must have taken them a long time to complete! I'd say it was well worth it.

At least this time they were in her hair and not scattered all across the backyard! Ha! This is one thing (and maybe the only thing) I've not experienced with my two boys!

Priceless! And pretty harmless. At least no permanent damage done!

Cute! Looks like they kept themselves busy. I'd say it was a good thing there were no scissors to be found.

I seriously cannot stop laughing at the expression on her face. And the bows in her hair. And the circulation-stoppers on her arm.

Pretty good trade-off for some quiet grown-up conversation, though, don't you think??
