The Lord's Prayer - For Grandparent's Eyes Only

Why? Why would I not want to share with everyone when my sweet Kindergartner recited The Lord's Prayer in chapel last week with another class?

*the camera-it's shaky.
*tripod was needed.
*seriously...you might get ill.
*the video-it's grainy. I was way too far back!
*if you haven't been studying Lily since birth, like they have, you may not be able to identify her.
*the constant clicking...I was surrounded by paparazzi.
*my husband. He was one of them. I told him to.
*the flashing. It could cause a seizure. My blog is not insured.

On a more serious note, I love that they not only memorized this passage, but that they really learned the meaning behind each petition.

We had her first parent-teacher conference two weeks ago. We were a bit nervous. Not as much worried about the academic part as we were other things. Does she stay on task? Does she listen? Is she respectful? Kind? Helpful?

When we arrived I think I was in nervous chatter mode...and her teacher paused and said, "Shall we begin in prayer?". My heart sank. I thought we were either really in for it or this is the most amazing teacher we could have ever picked for Lily.

Turns out she has a pretty amazing teacher! Whew!

46 seconds of pure pre-"nastics" fun

I've always thought that gymnastics outfits were ugly. Always. I don't care if they are on Mary Lou or a more current star, they just don't appeal to me. The color combinations alone are frightening...then add a few rhinestones and weird fabric cuts. Oh Lord.

I mean, who looks cute wearing black, blue and hot pink all at once? JADE!

My baby started mommy and me toddler gymnastics..."nastics" according to her...

She was a little bit excited. Just a little bit.

Greetings from a reformed video poster. In case I scared you away with the way too many and way too long videos of Jade's birthday celebration a while back, I wanted to let you know I've wised up to the fact that few and short is better.

So, below you will just find a brief 41 seconds (combined!) of my little ones. Gasp. That also happens to be exactly how long I waited to early vote on Friday (in minutes though). Divine. Aren't you glad I didn't have to wait longer?

Disclaimer: She does know to put her hand over her heart...this was take two, and of course she did that in take one.

Disclaimer: That isn't a bruise on her face. Just remnants of some Trix blueberry yogurt...which I'm sure is totally all natural and dye free. And I'm also sure that Lily never enjoyed such a thing til she was twice Jade's age, nor did she ever leave the table without a good face wiping first. I'm sorry Jade. At least you got a few seconds of video. 13 seconds to be exact. See, even that is unlucky. Poor thing.

Hopefully our candidate won't suffer from second-child-syndrome today and actually pull off a win.
